Frankenstein

Chad's new play opened this past Friday April 30th at Port Arthur Little Theater. I, along with his mom, dad, Maren and Ryan, went to experience the melodrama of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Chad is absolutely wonderful. He plays the creature of Frankenstein. The creature is dark, complicated, full of many varying emotions, and yearning to have companionship only to be hunted because of his appearance. The creature begs Frankenstein for a mate, but out of fear the Dr. refuses. This drives the creature to torment Frankenstein and drive him completely mad.

Chad's talent just leaves me in awe. Just the past few months he has performed in a Comedy (The Foreigner), Dinner Theater (Dealt a Deadly Hand), Musical Comedy (Once Upon a Mattress) and now a Melodrama. Next up he will Co-direct Kidmunnity Theater with junior high kids this summer. I cant wait to go see Romeo and Harriet.

You surely married a great, intelligent, talented person who just happens to be my son. He did a great job as Frankenstein. I started to feel so sorry for Frankenstein in the second half. He just wanted to be happy. Next stop, Brigadoon!

Also Meigan, it is really hard to figure out how to post a comment on your blog. Most of the blogs to make a comment, the comment spot is on the bottom. Yours you have to click on the number (like 0) to comment. Just a thought. Maren wanted to leave a comment the other day and she didn't know how.
