Busy Baseball Week

This past week Mark had one of those baseball games a boy remembers forever. We were playing the number one team and we were tied in 4th place. Last season Mark played 2nd base and pitcher. This year he is with a new team and has been playing centerfield. He has felt really discouraged. Then this week he made a catch of a lifetime. Bases loaded, Last inning, score tied at 2. He did a diving rolling catch which was the third out. No runs Scored!! Game ends in a tie. Parents from both teams congratulate him. Kids are cheering! He took home the game ball! Go Mark

A little about Meigan and her Crew

For those that don't know me I thought I might give you a little background on us. I am the same age as Chad and I have 3 great kids: Sydney (12), Mark (aka Trey) (9) and Drake (3). I graduated from Lamar in 1997 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Education with a specialization in Math. I taught 4th grade, 2nd grade and computer to ages K-7th grade. I also worked as a PEIMS/Business Director in several Charter Schools in Beaumont. I also had a property and casualty insurance license for a time while I worked with my ex husband in 2000 at his Allstate Agency. I am currently working as a stay at home mom, Substitute teacher, PTA board member, and Chad's Partner in Wow Gardens and Design. I am also contracting out to a charter school this summer for a few weeks to help them start up. Life has been pretty busy.

My kids are very well balanced considering their crazy life. Sydney (aka Syd) enjoys writing her novel, cheerleading, her ipod, and her SIMS games. She is also a 1st degree level 3 black belt in taekwondo and a level 1 instructor too. Syd maintains A's and B's in all her classes while staying so busy. She is really enjoying attending her young womens classes and is growing in to a beautiful young woman.

Mark (Who we call Trey because he is Mark Mitchell Haselden III ) loves sports. He plays baseball and also is a 1st degree level 3 black belt in taekwondo and a level 1 instructor. Though he would love to try his talents on stage as well. This summer we are going to explore that. Mark watches all sports and cant wait until I will let him play football. Not yet though. He keeps A's and B's with his very busy schedule as well. He is becoming such a gentlemen.

This brings me to Drake. What can I say about Drake. He loves Thomas the train, is full of energy and very stubborn. He always wants to go play with Braydon and he thinks he is as old as Mark. Drake keeps us all pretty entertained and busy!
I love my family and would not change a single thing in my past because everything we have been through has made us into who we are today.
Thank you Lord for all these blessings.

Our Beginning

When you are least looking for something thats when it comes along. This all began the summer of 2009. I needed a resume and what should appear on Facebook an old classmate specializing in just that. While working on the resume we discovered that Chad and my dad had a love for community theater in common. Next thing I know they are cast together in the Foreigner. A friendship started.

Then months went by and in October we decided to go out for a kids free night to Chuck E Cheese. Yes Chuck E Cheese! It was a blast! There we discovered a similar love of  TEXANS FOOTBALL! Strange as it is that both of our families are big Cowboy fans. Hmmmm...

Chad and I became good friends. We wondered how it is that we never crossed paths before. Especially since we grew up on the same road, went to high school together and the unbelievable fact that my next door neighbors are like his second set of parents. A place he visited. We decided that life had to take us on two separate paths only to bring us here, together today. What a crazy fun life we live!
